Yoga Classes for Rock Climbers

Yoga is a wonderful compliment to sports such as climbing, and can lead to big gains in strength and flexibility, as well as improving balance, and fostering resilience against injury. While any yoga conducted safely can be beneficial, climbers have particular strength and mobility needs, which may not be served in generic yoga classes. Classes designed specifically for climbers can greatly increase relevant yoga benefits.

My Climbing

I currently climb (and teach yoga) in New York at Central Rock Manhattan, Brooklyn Boulders Gowanus, BKB Queensbridge, MetroRock, and Central Rock. I have also climbed at some wonderful gyms in California, including Rocknasium in Davis, Pipeworks in Sacramento, and Dogpatch Boulders, in San Francisco. My favorite outdoor climbing locations include: Smith Rock National Park in Oregon for top-rope, and bouldering in South Lake Tahoe. Auburn Quarry was also a fun find!
