Beginner-Friendly, Inclusive Lessons

I specialize in beginner-friendly instruction. Lessons are welcoming and inclusive, and include modifications for ease and challenge, so that students of different abilities and experience can work at the level that is right for them. With an extensive background in teaching, I like to ensure students have fun while making progress at a comfortable pace. I teach Restorative, Vinyasa, and Hatha, to a range of ability levels, and for ages ranging from teens to nineties. I teach beginner classes, open level classes, intermediate classes, and yoga for climbers.

Yoga for Well-Being

Yoga can facilitate a balanced lifestyle, and boost physical and mental well-being. During my Psychology MA, I focused on trauma, stress, and ways to boost resilience. The benefits of yoga, mindfulness, and meditation, are well-supported by science, and my teaching and practice are informed by these principles.

Community Yoga

I trained at a non-profit, accessible and inclusive yoga studio in Sacramento, California (The Yoga Seed). Community focus is an important part of my practice. Please contact me if you are interested in arranging community-based yoga classes.

Yoga for Rock Climbers

I enjoy using yoga as a complimentary tool for rock climbing. I started rock climbing five years ago when I moved from England to California. I’ve climbed at some great gyms in California, as well as some stunning outdoor locations. I currently climb at Brooklyn Boulders Gowanus, BKB Queensbridge, and MetroRock, Brooklyn. Yoga is a wonderful compliment to sports such as climbing, and can lead to big gains in strength and flexibility, as well as improving balance, and fostering resilience against injury.
